A: A staff member from our office will reach out to you to set an appointment to visit your home or small business to view the property and work up a free estimate. Choosing a cleaning service is an important decision. Meeting you at your property and talking with you there means there will be no surprises for either of us. We want to fully understand your needs and make you a client for life, instead of just giving you a vague price quote over the phone that could change. This initial appointment usually takes between 15 and 45 minutes, and we’ll complete a written estimate while on your property. The cleaning fee will be determined by the size and condition of your home and the frequency of cleaning.
Q: Are you a pet-friendly service?
A: Yes, but please note that for liability reasons and for the safety of your pet, we ask that you secure your pet area as we enter and exit your home if there is a risk associated with your pet running outside. Please review our Policies and Procedures page for more information.
Q: Does your cleaning team bring its own products and are they non-toxic?
A: Our staff brings its own cleaning products, and we use the right tools and materials to make your living or working environment shine! Note that there is an additional fee for green cleaning products, and if there is a specific cleaning product you want our staff to use, you must let us know in advance. Q: Do I need to be home while your staff is cleaning?
A: No, you are not required to be at home when our staff visits. We often make arrangements with clients to have access to their home with an extra house key or other entry means with which you are most comfortable. We cannot predict the exact time that staff will arrive at your home due to potential traffic, construction, or weather delays. Clientele keys are given to staff the morning of your cleaning, and staff return your key at the end of the day. Please note that when we are in your home, we do not allow third party access, such as a repairman, plumber, painter, etc., into your home without your written permission. If we arrive on your scheduled cleaning day and cannot access your home, you will incur a “lock out” fee of $50.00 that will be added to your following cleaning appointment bill. Q: I have a home/business alarm system. Will your staff turn the system off and back on?
A: Please consider the staff’s lack of knowledge with alarm technology and set your alarm to the “off” position on your cleaning appointment day. We will not be held responsible for any fees incurred due to activated security alarms on your cleaning day. If you request that the staff engage or disengage your security system on arrival and exiting, you take full responsibility for the outcome in the event the alarm is triggered and the security company notified. Please furnish us with emergency cut-off codes and a phone number that you are guaranteed to answer. If your alarm is triggered and we cannot reach you or access the appropriate information, law enforcement may be dispatched and officers may request that we leave the property.
Q: What happens if a cleaning staff member accidentally breaks something in my home or business?
A: Stress Maid Less staff is very conscientious when handling your personal property. When we clean, we touch virtually everything. If you notice any damage or breakage caused by our staff, please call us within 24 hours of your cleaning appointment. If a member of our staff accidentally damages an item in your home, we try to determine a fair replacement or repair value. We ask that you provide an original receipt and/or at least three estimates. We may also depreciate the value of your item. We do not cover the cost of any items that are currently hanging on the wall, since we have found that many items are hung incorrectly and fall when they are the slightest bit touched. We do not clean computers and/or flat screens on high-definition televisions. Also, if your broken or damaged item is part of a set, we do not cover the cost of replacing the whole set. We will only cover the cost of the item that was damaged. If an item requires a shipping charge, we only cover the cost of standard shipping, not express or overnight shipping.

Q: When will I be charged for cleaning services?
A: Stress Maid Less customers are required to keep a credit card on file. We accept cash, check, MasterCard and VISA for payment. Payment in full for services is required at the conclusion of the cleaning appointment.
